GLEBE CARAVAN PARK
Park information
Glebe Caravan Park is a small, family run park on the edge of Dartmoor. It is situated mid-way between the north and south Devon coasts with the Cornish border only a few miles away.
The village of Bridestowe, just down the lane, is tiny but still has a shop/ post office and a pub offering good food where children are welcome.
Dartmoor‘s wide rolling moors, granite tors, wooded valleys, fast flowing rivers and streams, farms and fields, all combine to create a unique and beautiful landscape The peaceful and picturesque moors are great to explore by car or on foot (or even bike if you don’t mind the occasional hill!) the villages of Dartmoor are a delight to discover
The position is ideal for exploring Devon and Cornwall all from one location. Lands End is less than 100 miles away and well worth a visit but there is so much to see nearby that you might not be able to fit it in. The wonderful
beaches of north Devon and Cornwall are just an hour away
by car and offer some of the bathing and surfing in the country
They have been getting rescue hens for some years now which are proving popular with visitors especially children. The girls are free to roam over all 3 acres and it doesn’t take them long to find their feet. Finding the eggs can be a
problem but some of the girls are compliant and lay eggs in the nest boxes. Feel free to throw them any scraps-they like cooked rice but turn their beaks up at pasta!
If children wish to feed them with corn, just ask for a bag
Please drive carefully on the site and remember your neighbours when making noise late at night
